About Chantal

Chantal, the most renowned name in enamel-on-steel cookware today

was the first to bring dramatic color, tempered-glass lids, stay-cool handles, and environmentally friendly cookware for cooking, serving and storing to the world’s market.

Founded in 1979, Chantal’s current president and owner, Heida Thurlow bears the distinction of being the first woman in the United States to launch and run a cookware company. Trained as an engineer, Heida was also Chantal’s first product designer, earning 26 design and utility patents for Chantal Cookware Corp.

Chantal cookware, bakeware and teakettles perform beautifully for modern families. Chantal’s enamel is the highest-quality AA enamel, engineered in Germany by craftsmen who have passed the tradition of superb enameling production from generation to generation. Non-porous enamel is considered by most to be the healthiest cooking surface available. It eliminates metal transfer, is naturally stick-resistant, non-reactive to acidic foods, and nonabsorbent to oils. All Chantal enamelware and ceramicware is lead-safe, cadmium-safe and meets FDA and California’s stringent Prop 65 requirements.

Today, Chantal approaches product development from a creative, quality-oriented, and environmentally conscious team. Their most recent innovations include Pure™ by Chantal, a collection of eco-friendly bakeware, and Copper Fusion™, the first collection of naturally stick resistant cookware that fuses the superior performance of copper with the health benefits and convenience of enamel.
